Well The fine officials called 51 fouls tonight in GCA at Beardon Game. 17 in the first quarter. 3 on Arnold in the first 3 minutes.......he had to sit. The Rams played great team ball tonight and Gettlefinger hit 21 I think Ledford 19 Hensley hit like 12 and several rams hit some.

 

Lost 87-81 to Beardon in Overtime. TSSAA please stop the ticky tacky madness. Nobody fills a gym to watch the strips call 50 fouls. Oh yea and please put in a shot clock so we can play big boy basketball.......I am in a really bad mood right now

Went to my first high school game of the season last night to watch Harriman  and Wartburg play  if that’s the way it’s going to be called then they can have it did not even enjoy watching the game because of all the silly fouls called  tssaa you are killing the game

Coalfield picked up a win against sunbright last night. Won by 9 and led the entire second half by around 10. I think coalfield needs to run more designed plays for McKinney. He's not been very aggressive on the offensive end so far this year.

100% spot on... He needs to shoot and drive more. They are just gonna be fairly decent until that changes. When a hoops team has a clear cut best player, he or she has to take by far the most shots.

The new rule changes with all the hand checks and stuff is ruining high school basketball. I agree with the person above its not even fun to watch right now, and nearly impossible to play any defense.

Agree. On most nights he's probably third in attempts. Last night he was probably 5th or 6th.

Greenback boys get to practice Monday and play GCA on Tuesday! 13 of 15 players just finished football yesterday. It will take awhile to get going. We lost 6 seniors and have 2 upcoming returning Seniors this season, but one isn't playing. On a good note we have a handful of Seniors this season playing basketball who have focused on football only the last few seasons. We also return our 2 leading scorers from last season who are Juniors and have another Junior that has focused on football/baseball only that is a great athlete. Time will tell how all this comes together once we shake the football off!

Tough luck getting GCA that quick out of the gate. You all had a good football season but I dont see you staying within thirty points unless they just let you all.

Oakdale beat the doors off of Oliver Springs 84-58. Could've been way worse. Oakdale hit their first 11 consecutive shots, and led 22-5 at one point. Oakdale was firing on all cylinders this game. OS did not look bad, Oakdale just came out to kill.

 

The 1-5 start lit a fire under them. They played together in this game better than they had all of last year or this season. If Oakdale plays with that intensity the rest of the season, they don't lose a district game.

the stripes are ruining basketball. Makes it near impossible to play any defense. Just let the boys play. High school basketball isn't fun to watch right now
