RIVERDALE WILL BE IN A CLOSE RACE WITH THE BIG DOGS AS THEY FIND REPLACEMENTS FOR THE 2015 GRADUATING CLASS OF STUDS..#LOP

I will tell you that there will be some surprised folks by the new class of studs at Blackman. There is some size and ridiculous speed (4.45x 40 on wet turf.) sophomore. There are 4 of the fastest kids in the county returning that were on the freshman team last year and are all bigger and faster and more elusive this year. Nearly all the d-line is returning and a fair amount of the defensive backfeild. There were also some great hires this year. The O-line coach Oliver from Oakland and the receiver coach as well. I don't know that we will be at full speed this year, but we should be respectable for sure.

You guys got some keepers in Coach Oliver and Coach Hartsfield. Both got potential as HC's down the road. Blackman isnt going anywhere

I have to say I am very very impressed with them both. Love the enthusiasm and unity they bring to the team. Everyday the O-line looks better and better.

I USED TO THINK THAT MIDDLE TENNESSEE HAD THE MOST TALENTED TEAMS IN THE STATE.....BUT YOU KEEP PROVING ME WRONG BY NOT WINNING THE BIG ONE!! #LOP

So what stinks more never winning the big one or NEVER EVEN PLAYING for the big one. I guess you could answer that one huh??? Pretty cocky for a school that seems to only win at Girls softball  I guess by your standards Middle Tenn, is consistently "good" and you guys are consistently average.

CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT BUDDY....YOU ARE EXPECTED TO WIN THE BIG ONE AND YOU GUYS REMIND ME THAT I'M NOT IN THE CONVERSATION...SO....WITH ALL THAT TALENT YOU STILL CAN'T GET PAST EAST TENNESSEE SO MY POINT STANDS AS CORRECT.AND YOU DON'T HAVE A ICE CUBES CHANCE IN THE SUN THIS SEASON..#LOP JUST KEEPING IT REAL.....

    • That was after the 2nd year of a 4 year cycle.  Since Covid we have been on a 2 year cycle.  So, there really isn't a "mid cycle" reclassification this time.   Idk if there's anything in place to address the issue of a school closing.  My guess is, nothing can be done.  This would be akin to the 1st year of a 4 year cycle, where a school has the 20% +/- but not allowed or even have the option to move up or down.
    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
