And oh yeah, sorry not to include basketball since this is a Brian Brown thread! Talent or no talen, he will finish the year with less than half his team. A good friend that I work with has a son playing for him that comes home begging to quit every night and he's probably got a decent chance to start or get a lot of minutes.

Also heard that there is no way brown will be here after this year as well. Already run several off to other schools last year and looks like he's trying to do the same again this year. Wonder what in the world is the problem?

Man the cracks this school has gotten itself into!!

Who in the world is hiring these people anyway?

That might be a little something to do with all this mess!

I agree totally, Hiring Franks as AD was a HUGE mistake.

Gotta fix that too

The football hires wasnt on franks, but I think basketball was. Really no options to choose from for basketball. Let's not throw him to the wolves just yet because like him or not he is capable of getting this mess fixed. He has an opportunity here to score big, but the clock is ticking. This will determine if hes AD material.

Don't understand it. McNairy always has a good girls basketball team, but the boys have been not good as of late. Maybe time to get Lott to coach both.

Stupid idea.  Girls district is usually not that strong so Lott gets a lot of gimmes.  Been to state 2 times in 30+ years, not so hot.  Yes he has won alot of games but can't win the big ones

Boys district is tough, really tough.  This is not the 80s and 90s.  Bobcats are in district with Bolivar now, they were 3A then and Liberty was in district for a while-won 3 state championships and now Southside is hot.  District has produced 7 state champions in 12 years.  Find that anywhere else.  Also the athletes are just not there along with the fact that some of them would not play for Brown.  His style has passed.

The girls have played 2 really good teams. They will struggle this year but probably wouldn't beat TCA with last years team and MHEA was awesome

No offense to the guys but MHEA was a jr high team and TCA was missing it's football players and obviously looked young but was even till the end. Bobcats get beat 40 next time.

Record means nothing in this case. Girls will win 2x as boys but neither in double digits this year ☹ï¸

What's your thoughts now Bobcats83? Just Run Hardin Co outa the gym! The same team that beat Bolivar the other night. No contest from the very start!

Girls 0-3

Boys 3-0

Hasn't changed. HC off a hard fought win from Monday learned they have to do more than just show up. Bobcats played great. Shot ball extremely well.

But they still play in a district they can't compete in. Rest of their wins will come against some of the single A schools on the schedule

Girls 0-2

Boys 2-0

Hmmmmm!!

I'm all for the Bobcats winning except when they play us. We had 4 starters out in that game and our 7th man. 3 starters are still playing football along with 7th man. Our 6'8" big man was out with a really bad ankle. I was actually pleasantly surprised MC won. I thought they might lose to our younger guys but it sounds like they are playing pretty decent ball. Hope they keep winning!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
