I believe the 1970 team wore red jerseys and the 1976 and 1978 black. I know a guy through work who played on the 1970 team. He played about as much as JetJock. I like that CPO jacket the manager is wearing in the second photo.

I have a certain 1948 Murvil jersey made by Athletic House.

Shiny and red.

I remember in 1970, the red jerseys were mesh for the first time, and the shade of red for them was different than the previous ones. I can remember black jerseys being around possibly even in the late 60s but seldom worn. All black uniforms were a rarity and I even want to remember Coach Wilson was somewhat superstitious about the all black because they lost a game or two while wearing them. (Or at least that was the rumor at the time)  They were a nice change when they wore them back then, and its funny, now when they were red jerseys at home rather than black it is a nice change.

That looks like MHS vs Heritage @ Heritage so it's at least '77. Heritage had some big ole boys back then.

Wow great pictures! I'd never seen a picture of the 1964 Optimist Bowl those are nice uniforms.
