As a Franklin fan, I say thanks for the game Riverdale.

As I had said, turnovers were they only way Franklin could win this game. Riverdale turned the ball over 4-5 times then had a complete discipline meltdown. I just think the momentum shifted in an away game and the team didn't respond.

I think #2 was ejected in the 2nd half. Will that cause you to lose him the 1st half of next week?

I do think Franklin called a pretty good offensive game.

Good luck to the Warriors the rest of the season. No doubt you have the athletes for a great season.

Good to see no injuries.

I believe he will be out the next game as well. If a player is ejected that player must sit the rest of the game he was ejected in and the following.

Congratulations on the win and good luck the rest of the year to you and the Rebels as well.

Really not much to say except that Franklin was far better prepared than Riverdale.  The Rebs were just more physical, more disciplined, and just way better coached. Well coached smart kids win again.

Just can't describe how disappointed I am in Riverdale's lack of discipline.  Whenever I think Riverdale has reached it's lowest point under Aydelott I soon learn that it can indeed get worse.  Really an embarrassment for all of Rutherford county to have a team melt down like that.  Kudos to the officials for keeping things in check as well as they did.

Man, Franklin's lines just whipped Riverdale unmercifully all night long.

I'm just too numb to type anything more.  Can't believe what I just saw.

As far as the lines, I think Franklin called a good game for an over powered O-Line. The option helps with that. The Franklin D-Line did have a determination to them tonight. As I reported on the Centennial game, Fraklin's strengths are the D-Line and the kicking game.

Riverdale just helped Franklin with the rest.

You summed it up perfectly...Riverdale was outcoached and outplayed all night long. Shocking to see a Riverdale football team play like last night.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
