LOL,,,I sure hope so. Meanwhile our inept offense had as many yards as the DB offense. I'll take a team with an inept offense that gains as much as the #6 team in 6A, and beats them at their place. Apparently an inept offense, a good defense, and a good kicking game is enough to be 2-0 against two good teams. What's inept is throwing an interception on the 11 yard line when in automatic field goal range. Why not send it into overtime and only have to go 10 yards against a good defense and have an automatic stop against an inept offense? Of course, if you think that way then you can't bash your own team's offense and the coaches, which is what you love doing.

I don't comment on other team's coaches. I just know that our coaches haven't had much foresight.

If the had, then Dunbar would've played some QB as a junior. If they had, then we would've run this offense some last year. Instead, they've developed neither of our QB's, when it's likely that either could've been very good with development in an offense that suited him.

Additionally, much of our yardage is coming off broken plays where the OL does nothing & Dunbar makes something happen. Do,you think this is a sign of good coaching?

Finally, how many times did we run the option versus running a toss sweep? We run this flex bone, only to run more sweeps than options. Thus, we have smallish RB's blocking on the edge, while our best OL stands out with a CB.

Yes, our offense is genius.

The option is made by how good the qb can read the D.It looks to me like the QB is not making reads. No matter what kind of option u run u have to read the defense.I just wonder if its pre determined from the coach or is QB doing it.Of course it dont help when you are gettin hit b4 you can make a 3 step drop or when the ball is being handed off.I hate that dive up middle. We run that play to much.I would love to see pistol or something to give qb a shot at looking down field. We should have a deep just throw it up go pass to Tee at least 10 times a game.I think we improved some though and look forward to watching the offense get better.Proud of team and coaches.Crowd was also much louder.GO CATS

The option is made by the OL preventing penetration so that the QB can get to the man that he's going to option.

Our OL isn't good enough or coached well enough to make this happen. Blaming our QB is ridiculous.

I didn't count how many times we ran the sweep but I'm glad we ran it one time for sure because Kimbro scored on it (DA call from a DA coach I know but I liked it). The runs by Dunbar at the end looked like they were called to me but I'm sure you know they were broken plays but either way I'm sure glad they happened because they saved the game. Why do you keep talking about last year? Why bash our coaches so much? I don't know how many players changed positions but according to your theory the defensive coaches must also be stupid because Warrington was moved to safety this year. If they had any foresight they would've played him at safety last year so he would be a better safety this year. Why didn't Kimbro play linebacker last year so he would be more developed this year? Why didn't the stupid offensive coaches play Middleton at receiver last year so he would be worth a da*# this year? I do agree that our offense must improve dramatically but I also know if the paper was correct that we gained as much yards as DB did and our inept offense didn't turn the ball over. We rushed for as many yards as they did and we passed for as many yards as they did and we won.

Favorite game all year! The game is almost secondary to the Wildcat nation fighting it out against each other on Coacht.

Star, it's just one guy and some cannot ignore him.  Ha Ha.  They will figure it out soon.  This should be a great game.  We are looking forward to making the trip once again.

    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
