I'm just gonna leave this here for Roy and OP. This was a quote from Vic in that Hargis mans paper a couple years ago. You fellers are confused. Hit the lottery huh??

"We were all highly impressed by his first interview," Grider said. "Everything he said was exactly what we wanted to hear in terms of his plans for the future of the program. Once we finished all the interviews, it just became obvious that Ricky was our guy. If there's a coaching lottery, we feel like we hit the jackpot with him.

LOPAO..... That is a trait of a good salesman, recon The Captain knows he is a SOS now & the lottery ticket was a impressive looking fake! BTW, you Vol fans need to make a HEEP of fellers run for stinking up 3 quarters in their game. A typical example of the Vols inability to win a big game! Pitiful.... Edited by OLD PIRATE

I garuntee you lightgate didnt get the national recognition you Jasperlites got with paintgate. Fact is you were asked a simple question and have yet to respond. You think im joking but im not.

I'll answer your question when you answer mine. Why didn't you call timeout in the 2nd half to adjust to the defensive adjustments we made?? 93 yds of offense in the 2nd half won't cut it.

I cant call a timeout for our boys. I was sitting in the stands. Grider or one of those other coaches calls timeouts. It wasnt the SOS defence it was lack of depth since our two best runners were injured the second half. Now why didnt the SOS make proper adjustments during first quarter instead of waiting until halftime? SOS wanted a goose egg up their worse than anybody. You think im joking but im not.

    • While one may be inclined to perceive this narrative through a lens of fiction, it behooves us to recognize the inherent robustness of its credibility. For those seeking veracity, the surest path lies in direct engagement with the primary source. Let us adhere diligently to the matter at hand, focusing our deliberations on the matter of paramount importance: the identification of the individual most suited to assume the mantle of head coach. I invite introspection and discourse regarding not only personal preferences but also the criteria defining merit and suitability for this esteemed position.
    • If it’s one single kid then that argument would make sense. He’s essentially had to replace his entire coaching staff in the first two seasons, and like it’s been pointed out only one left for a better job. The two most talented players in the area both left, and number of others are actively trying to leave, including the head basketball coaches son. Also, the rumors of financial problems and over spending by Jones. Unpaid bills, missing money, inability to fundraise, has the boosters sick of being hit up for money.    Im saying that is the definition of a poorly run disorganized program. If you want to pretend it’s a well oiled machine maybe you should take your maroon glasses off. All I know is I wouldn’t let my boys play in that kind of mess.
    • It usually gets tiresome when posters play characters on the board, but I must admit that I’ve found some humor in wingback’s take on this art form.  However, his rundown on the potential candidates seems as much fiction as his persona!
