Sad news in Paris tonight. Jimmy "Fitz" Fitzsimmons passed away today. Fitz was a tough and great guard on the 1949 championship. team at Paris' Grove High. An avid golfer and outdoorsman he was the scoreboard operator at Henry County games for many years.He served his country for many years as a Sgt. in the National Guard.He was a good friend to me and many others and will be missed.

Sorely missed, but never forgotten...rest in peace Fitz!

I don't have the correct to the number stats, but I would say it was more like 60-40 passing. They did try to run enough to attempt to keep it honest, but it was quickly snuffed out. Their shorter passes also didn't do to well. Like you said, it was the bombs that got them their yardage.

Freshmen won tonight 16-0 over Camden. The Lions fought hard but kept fumbling the ball away. Our Patriots scored twice in the final 4 minutes.Earlier in the week the Pat JV beat Camden 12-6.

How can they "not allow" a visiting band to play? I've never heard of such a thing!

Me either. They wouldn't allow them to play y their halftime show. Not even prior to the game.
