Really thought this would be a good test for Wayne County but Scotts Hill gave them all they could handle and the 'Cats still got the Win. Hate to hear about Smith breaking his leg. He is a great QB and hope next season will be his best yet. Without Smith i'm not sure how Decatur Co.-Riverside will do the rest of the year. They beat Lewis County but the Panthers are down and it was 14-0. If Riverside can make some plays on Defense they could keep it close but i believe the Wildcats will get this win pretty handily. Good Luck to both teams and i pray for no injuries.

Wayne Co.- 42

Riverside- 14

Had NO idea Drake broke his leg and will miss tne season....WOW. This changes this game drastically. I was thinking it would be a close 1 or 2 score game with Smith but without him then we should win fairly easily. He is definitely a special QB. At least he has his SR season to look forward too!

I hate that i wont be at the game so hopefully Miller or someone will use the periscope app again like the CA game.

I'll do updates. I'll post a few videos on periscope as well

Game day! I just hope the out manned, out gunned Panthers can pull an upset down there like they did a couple of years ago. I know Wayne Co. is tough but the Panthers will bring their best game. I think this game will be closer than some think. It's a better team than we had when we hosted Perry Co. It's a much better team than the one that was routed by Lexington. And the team should be better than the 14-0 winner over Lewis Co. last week.

WC just needs to go out and play their game and play it with the same intensity they played with last week! WC has been a very physical football team for several years now and it showed up last week after playing a little to relaxed the first couple weeks this year for me! WC 42 Riverside-7

I want to trust your judgement 89 but I'm thinking it will be much closer than 42-7. I for sure think we win just closer than that. We'll see soon enough.

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • No doubt. ORC a good dude.
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
