Last 5 weeks always determine the final region standings and a lot to settle before November, but it's interesting to see matchups if playoffs started today.  We'll try to update this each week as tea

For my 5A friend #PASSIVEAGGRESSIVE #LOP here's the standings & pairings for 5A for week 8. (Remember this is only "IF" playoffs started this Friday and is subject to change next week).

 

EAST

Regions 1 vs 2

Where is Rhea County in 5A?

Rhea Co. is currently tied for 4th with WV.  The Mustangs hold the tie-breaker right now only because TSSAA does not determine seeding with games with out-of-state opponents until the end of the regular season.  Rhea's game in Indiana doesn't carry any weight as of now.  WV and Rhea have yet to play, though.  Still a lot to be settled on the field.

for the premise of the thread, you are most likely correct. However, I am 100% certain that Rhea Co will finish in 2nd place (and I'm not a Rhea fan).

No no no. Unless they have changed it, the top 4 stays home. Right now Bradley is tied for 3rd with Bearden and HV. Most likely Bearden is gonna lose their next 2 games to knock them out of the top 4. Could very well come down to bradley and HV for 3rd and 4th. If bradley can finish 2-1 in their last 3 games, they will be top 4.

 

Hate these way too early predictions.

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
