May be right...if so, we're a LONG WAY from a team ready for post season!

SN stayed with Chuck Doak and Unicoi wiped CD last night! UNICOI!

I don't think you'll see us limited to 50 yds passing and 77 yds rushing from our QB again, unless, of course, they keep him contained just as HV plainly said they were going to do....I'm not a happy person when an opposing team does what they tell you they're gonna do!

Reminds me of a ric flair quote. When we tell someone we're gonna be there and beat somebody up, then you can put it in the bank pal, cause we are gonna be there we are gonna beat somebody up! Whoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Lol!

I was at Wild Wings last night and Rouse was getting ready to fight some poor woman.

I told everyone it wouldn't last 30 seconds...and it didn't.

Another thing to point out is we are halfway through the season so teams have a lot of game film and tend to know what to expect. It makes it tougher to put up those big numbers especially playing someone who is playing with heart.

We still scored 43 though. I would take that amount every game and take my chances. I do think that we need to shore the defense up some more but there is nothing that can't be fixed. This reminds me of basketball in that we want to be peaking and playing our best at playoff time. We are not playing our best yet so hopefully we will peak at the right time and continue to be healthy. GO DOGS!

    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
