4A District 5 Football

Tired of jumping around from post to post lol. 5a and 6a have group post like this so let's start our own. The few Match ups this week I kow off is Macon county vs Springfield and Pearl cohn vs White House.

Looks like the battle is for the the 3 and 4 seeds in our region. Springfield and Pearl Cohn will play for the region championship in two weeks in a game that should be like a playoff game. Portland looks to have the best bet to finish 3rd if they can beat Macon at the end of the year and they play Maplewood this week. I have no idea how all the tiebreakers would work other than head to head if two teams tie. Maplewood is the wild card in this if they can beat Portland and/or White House. White House has to win against either PC or Maplewood to have a shot. We will know more after this week's games are played.

So how is everyone liking the new district? What did you guys think when we started and what about now? Me I was interested on how white house and macon county was going to fit into this. I still miss dis10 but starting to make some new friends.

The final week should be crazy!! PC and Spfd playing for the region championship in what should be a playoff like atmosphere and the other four teams playing each other to get into the playoffs. Should be fun.

Just found out as far as the New district goes Nobody but Maplewood has had over 100 years total offense against us. Last night white house had only 56 yards

PC starting to get healthy and that's not good news for teams left on our schedule.

PC is better than anyone else in this region, hands down. Not even close.

Springfield has a much needed open date , a few injuries time to heal and an extra week to prepare for the huge task of taking on Pearl-Cohn for the Region title on the final week of the regular season.

It's a 3way ties for 3rd and two way tie for first...what a year lol

October 30 will be an interesting night for all teams in the region.

 

One wonders if the head coaches for the bottom four teams will not take any chances this Friday in order to be healthy for the last week of the regular season.
