TheAmbassador
Not that rare. Remember old Region 4? In 2009 TC was State champs and FC's only 2 losses were to them. In 2011 FC split 2 games with TC and won the State. In 2012 Gordonsville won 1A And FC won 2A with both being from Region 4. Good luck Purple Tigers.Yea I remember it well, but it doesn't happen every season either.
Omniscience
Didn't Signal win 2A and Pitt won 1A in 2010.
orangeslice13
Didn't Signal win 2A and Pitt won 1A in 2010. Signal was definitely the best 4A team playing 2A ball that year.
TheAmbassador
Didn't Signal win 2A and Pitt won 1A in 2010.Yes, but I'm talking about competing in the same class. Not the combined class districts we had the past 6 years.
rlh
Ambassador- anything east of monteagle is a top 5 team to you. You haven't been paying attention much this year to his posts then.
TynerRamFan
Should be a good game....all Im reading is how big and strong and amazing region 3 is.....how their 4 will give Forrest fits tyner will take h2o behind the woodshed and both eagleville and westmoreland might as well forfit and not even show up.....look I get it you guys are proud of your region and should be Im sure there is a wealth of talent in region 3...But watertown just didnt sleepwalk to 8-2 and they have played some very good teams(years past) so its not like we havent seen good football teams...Tyner looks to be a very good team looks like this will be a good game...We will see what happens on friday. Tyner's Coach and staff have nothing but respect for Watertown. Do not let this forum convince you otherwise. Look past all of the hype. Between the goal post is where it matters. I just hope we have good weather because I expect a tough game.
croz6110
As someone with no skin in the game, I'll give my opinion. I think Watertown can beat Tyner. However, that depends greatly on which Watertown team shows up. They were lucky to beat Grundy and a bad Gordonsville team played them close. However, they competed with a good Forrest team and were leading Davidson until they lost a key player. Watertown has the potential to win by a couple of scores. They also have the potential to be mercy ruled.

TheTruthPrevails
I disagree on the blowout talk. It also depends on which tyner team shows up. Tyner struggled with Bledsoe as well, only beating them 20-0. I think tyner may win, but I think this one is seven points either way. 840
With all this talk on how impressive Tyner is, I am looking for them to go toe to toe with Boyd in round 2.

Winning by 3td's and holding the opponent to zero is called struggled?
TheTruthPrevails
Struggled?? Winning by 3td's and holding the opponent to zero is called struggled? I believe so because talent wise I believe mc and tyner to be close and we beat them 58-10. That's all I'm saying
