Drewcephus
TOP DEFINITION whelp interjection. A remark, generally thought of as southern slang, that is derived from the word "Well" and also used in its stead in order to lead one into another sentence that may continue a paused conversation/story or be used to signify the conclusion of one. Where as pronunciation of "Well" can be drawn out, "Whelp" is strictly pronounced very quickly and with a slight rising-inflection. Nice, thanks for clarifying BT! It is a tall order, but one that the Patriots are capable of. I believe that the Big Red Defense will come out with a little more passion this week. Also hoping that the cougra's are looking ahead to Indy and a rematch with them... And no sign of a white out, so bring your Big Red gear!!!!! Go Big RED!!! Rector is robotic in his focus on the task at hand and this week's task is HC. BTW, field conditions may be messy. Looks like up to 3 inches of rain on Wednesday into Wednesday night. GodCountryNotreDame
care to explain how a messy field benefits HC?Depends on a few things How hard the wind is blowing Does the qb have a strong arm Rainy conditions with sloppy field can sometimes be advantage receivers

Just not sure how much things will dry if the Wednesday forecast holds true.
ftballkicker
Wouldn't put your eggs into the basket of thinking/hoping Centennial will be looking ahead to Indy. Rector continues to impress me with what he does with teams on the decline and how he brings them up rather quickly. He has made Centennial relevant again and will be sure to have his boys focused solely on HC. Of all people Rector knows it is tough to beat the same team twice in one season and he will have his team ready for HC. I expect this to be a closer game than the first time but would not be surprised to see Centennial pull away late either. Good luck to both schools Friday and here's hoping to an injury free game! Swarm4Life
Sloppy field/weather usually means that a team must run the ball more to be successful. Henry County has one of the best run defenses in the state...so if Centennial must rely on the run more than the pass...advantage HC. HC also has a great rushing offense behind an outstanding offensive line and fullbacks. (#47 is running some fullback now so look out). Another advantage for HC this time around is that Centennial has had to start playing a lot more both ways...and they had to hang on for dear life the last time they played HC because they were out of gas. HC thrives on "wearing" other teams down...and then putting them away in the 4th. This is how I see this one playing out. HC 24 Cent. 16

Sorry that I annoy you with the confidence that I have with my team. It's just something that has been instilled in me over the years and years and years of success that the program has had. Hopefully, you will experience this feeling some day. Sorry you can't make a prediction on your team this week.

HC 24 Cent. 16 I'm all for being confident in your team, but did you see the first game between HC and Centennial? They also have a very good run defense,,,,,it kept HC out of the endzone for 3.25 quarters. Only when HC started throwing did things loosen up. So if both teams have to run the ball to score, it may be more like 10-7. Turnovers and/or penalties could very well determine this one.
