Sequatchie should be good on defense with most returning. Graduate a good defensive lineman, outside linebacker.and DB but most return. Hopefully will get back 2 of their best athletes, one played 3 games and one played six, before injuries ended their seasons. Both can play WR/DB. Offense will probably be more spread out to different backs this year. I believe only 1 senior was starting on the line at the.end of the season due to injuries so those players got a lot of experience and should do well.

Starting it early. I think it will be DC, jennings senior year gets Dekalb their first district title. Thoughts?

I would say that would be a good possibility. Upperman loses almost all of our skilled position players and didn't see who our back up QB was all year. I have a feeling we will run the ball behind our offensive line a lot.

What does Smith have back next year ? Like was said Sequ brings back 8/11 on defense and 7/11 on offense. Dekalb needs to develop some sort of running attack to win the district IMO. Until Sequ shows me they can defend the spread I wont put them ahead of Dekalb or Upperman. Darkhorse will be Grundy, year 2 of the veer after playing York and Dekalb close this year.

Smith County lost a big senior class and next year is a very small senior class. Return King who in my opinion is top three athlete in region. Another one to watch is shepperson who is a beast as a sophmore in basketball this year. He will probably be a Def end about 6'2 170. Line continues to improve. QB back. We was very lucky to get Holder transfer in last year. RB is a big question in my book....Maybe King in the backfield???

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
