3a region 4 2016

So far only new I hear is from YI and UH.

YI is suppose to have got a mid year transfer from either White or Stone who is a OL starter.....the guy who told me was unclear which he came from but said he was a start so should help them out.

UH is said to have got a Monterey transfer from the semi-final team who had to sit out this far. The kid is supposedly a beast. Also hearing they  got a new OC from a 6a program(not CHS). I know Ben was HC and OC last two seasons after Sambers left.

I talked to one of the returning players yesterday. No transfers, but did say they have gotten a new strength coach and workouts are going good. Said they had a few new kids out and in the weight room but no transfers. So that's rumor I'm guessing.

Maybe DC will finally win a region title this year.

I understand some for Sequatchie that either didnt play the whole season or missed several games intend to play, if injuries and health are okay. Could benefit a bunch along with returning players.

If Sequatchie gets some of the players back out that didn't play last year or last couple then they will be a force to reckon with in the district. Defense should be just as good with two all state caliber LB's returning. The key will be if we can figure out how to defend spread teams that like to throw the ball 30 times a game.

1. Dekalb- best single player in district in Jennings

2. Upperman- won 2 of last 3 titles, 2nd round or further each of last three years

3. Seq-return a good defense and a tough running game

4. York

4. Smith

5. Grundy

6. Cannon

York played a lot of sophomores and juniors on both sides of the ball last year. And a few freshman. Im hoping they are spending the off season figuring out a defense. That was their downfall last year in my opinion.

Cannon ended the season with less that 20 on the team and about 10 were seniors. Does anyone know how many they have in winter workouts?
