South Greene showed that they could definitely play with them and I believe could beat them before this season is out, though they fell short tonight. Lamb hasn't been able to find her shot as of late, but she will. It was a good game. There were moments when it looked like SG could have taken over, I'm looking forward to the rematch and they may meet up again at the Ladies Classic.

Wasn't Pickett County mostly Seniors this year? Im pretty sure they returned all their starters from the 15 team and last year was to be their run at the title. Im sure they will have a solid team just not as good as the past 2 years.

PC is really good. Very comparable to the 2 last years.

SG should be real strong. C range is biigggg but slowwww.

Haven't seen any west tn teams

West tn teams are suspect this year. Traditional powers like Middleton and Gibson County are questionable. Dresden beat AA Martin Westview by 24 points and appear strong. Gleason has tons of experience and are looking for respect. Greenfield looks primed for a post season run behind a pair of big-time freshmen.

I wouldn't say "suspect". There is just no team that stands out above the rest. From knowing what everyone else in Single A offers, West TN isn't that far behind, with maybe the exception of comparing someone to South Greene.

I think it will be exciting to see how the Single A tournaments play out. The Region 7A tournament could be one of the most competitive in the state.

South Greene is strong and will push anyone in this tournament. They could win it.

I know Trinity Christian may not be a favorite in Class A, but they are good. I have stated in previous post that the Lytle kid is not that good. She made me eat my words tonight, she is legit! Trinity has the team to upset some teams. They just beat Westview, Class AA #4

TCA is tough..especially at home. I don't know if I'd call that an upset. I don't think T Jones is back yet for Westview. TCA is good. If you can go to Middleton and win in Single A..you're good. Both teams should do go far in tourney.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
