I agree west may be the team to beat in 5a.

Looking at Regions 1 and 2, West is my favorite to roll to the semis, if they can replace the linemen lost to graduation.  Any team out of the east will be hard pressed to beat one of the Nashville metro top teams for the championship.

Well, name our OL / DL. Name our QB or a RB who can pound out the tough yards inside. Name our Punter / Place kicker. It is nice to be able to say Tee Higgins and Jordan Graham but those two can't play every position. Thank you though for picking OR as one of the top teams in the East I respect your opinion.

You are right. I'm excited about the season but we lost some great defensive players and the O Line is an annual concern. The QB will have no experience and I agree about the runner to get tough yards. Who is it? Plus we lost the best kicker in the state

I've been to track meets and talk to some OR players and from what I hear is there is a quiet excitement about the positions you are questioning. Their kids seem very confident. When HVA was there they guys came out of workout and they "look" good. I thought they wouldn't have any size but I seen some good size kids. Maybe can't play a lick but the look is good. 

 

West High will have another year under their belt with new coach.  It always gets better with time.

I'm very interested to see this spring practice. I'm not sure what to expect. I hear we lost coaches. Have they been replaced?

The 5A State Championship will continue to go through Henry County. Brentwood and Clarksville Northeast can beat anybody in 5A. The district will be very tough.

Since when? I don't recall but maybe a few times HC has brought home a gold ball. My money is on Oak Ridge or West from Knoxville.

Love the OR pick if they stay healthy. If they don't make some noise this year( I still say if they don't change the O last year they get it done) they got some issues. JMO but Higgins touches the ball every play.

 

I don't think West has enough horses remaining. I've been wrong a time or two though.
