Henry Co vs Gallatin

Game will be similar to the opening game of Hurd's junior year played at HC. High scoring game with Mason having a huge night and ultimately being the difference. Don't believe HC can stop him.

It is clear you did not witness, first hand, Hurd that night.

Never happened before, never again.  Not because we could or would ever be able to stop it, but because he was a once in a generation talent.

Well said, my strictly-evidenced friend. However, I do remember a fella by the name of Travis Stephens who came to Patriot Stadium and had a heck of a night. (Close to 400 yards, I believe.) These are the only two cases where the defense was dominated by one man...that I can recall.

Our freshmen lost their first game last night against a mixed frosh- JV team at Milan 46 to 44.It was fun game to watch but i hated to see our kids lose. Our first team RB and DB went down in the first half and didn't return ( not a serious injury ) but the loss can be pinned  on our inability to stop their soph running back and their fine freshmen QB and wide receiver. I still rate this group of freshmen as one of our best ever.

HC middle beat Camden last night 16-14. They're a pleasantly surprising 3-1 on the season after losing a ton from last year's team. Inman is still undefeated and might have enough to make a run at another west TN crown.

Hey Green Wave locals - how is the parking situation around the stadium?

I can respect this Mason kid as a good back, but please don't compare him to Hurd. I played against him three years and he was a man amongst boys. You could sense that even when he was sidelined in 2013. That being said I believe that coach Counce Jr and the rest of the staff will have the team ready to roll.

35-13 Henry county

Not the best especially if you are late. There is a parking area at the School Board which is at the North endzone. A few churches on the visitor side several hundred yards away as well as an elementary school. Home side has the larger lot around the old school but it fills up fast. There is also a parking area at the hospital behind the corner market. Unless you are early be prepared to walk.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
