Told you so. Ensworth having their way with Trez. 49-14 3rd quarter. DIIAA is a whole nother level.

Last years Ensworth team was the worst team they've ever fielded. I knew this would be a 3plus score game.

Kudos to Trez playing tough competition. It will only make them better and ready to capture another gold ball.

They looked liked they where playing a 2A school. They still don't look imposing to me but I really don't focus on D2. Trez let it get away from them. We gained more from this game than Ensworth in my opinion.

So now we make excuses for them being a 2A school after a complete blowout lol. Okay. 54-14 isn't imposing at all.

I will agree that Trez gained more. But Ensworth had already played two top 100 teams in the country. They needed an easier game.

If the E looked so unimposing, then I guess holding Mr. Clemson to 86yds on 15 carries was mediocrity at its best!

Respect for Trezevant is due for scheduling the E, but getting the running clock put on YOUR team at least deserves a little bit of respect to those who just NAPALMED you. Hope you all have a great rest of the season.

Could not have said it better. At least he responded. All the other Trez supporters have disappeared....unimposing..lol maybe if E had won by 50 you would have then been considered imposing lol. Classic.

I'm not taking anything from Ensworth they totally dominated this Trezevant team. I will give you that much i was totally wrong about Trezevant having a chance. If this would've happened last year this way maybe I wouldn't had as much confidence as I did. But its one thing I am confident about is that this Trezevant team will dominate teams in our class. I have much respect for Ensworth and all the big boy private schools they showed tonite what talent and depth can do to a team who doesn't have as much.

Can't wait to see how far the AP voters drop Trezevant this week in the poll. I just know we still are the best in 2A. But we will se how the pollsters see it.

The polls shouldn't drop Trezevant that far, considering that the rest of the teams in 2A didn't play a D2 school this week! The way Trezevant opened that game last night silenced the Ensworth crowd QUICK! CR is the real deal... And the rest of the district knows what's coming.

As do the pollsters! Rankings(opinions) don't win gold balls, the kids playing week in and week out do. Good luck the rest of the season!

As I figured, massive assumptions being made about the Memphis team... Since you don't know wassup with the opponent you shouldn't say that a team that lost will win by 3 TDs... I mean Ensworth may win but I doubt it simply because Teli White ain't goin

Well, looks like the assumptions that a historically great Div 2AA team would soundly beat a great 2A program were correct.

The hypocrisy of you Memphis guys commenting about assumptions is funny.

You have had a great program all the way back to the X Man (as far as my memory goes) and can beat programs like E when they are way down. However, as seen last night the odds of doing that with regularity are slim to none.

Good for you guys to schedule the game and good luck this year and beyond. I will be rooting for you.

    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
