I hope they stay focus got Middleton Saturday at Humboldt so should be a great game!

I will say this to. I have never seen a Humboldt team in the great shape there are as before the Christmas break. If I am correct Middleton will come to Humboldt with only one loss. This will a game to watch I get chill bumps thinking about it! The girls game starts at 3 if anyone wants see to them play. They much improved!

Might have to slip out and come watch this one as well....that'll be a state tourney type of game and hopefully atmosphere. 2 teams that like to get up and down. Over/under for this one?? 160?

Better get there early should be a packed house! Middleton fans always follow there Tigers! Vikings need to stay on top of their game!

I heard 3:00

Yes, I think the girls start at 3pm followed by the boys game should be a packed house due to game being on Saturday & starting early! If, Humboldt plays like they did Tuesday night, I think they will win but Middleton always has a well coached team. I think this game will really give a gauge of both teams against good competition & how they react! I think the key for the Vikings will be the inside game & playing relentless defense for 32 minutes, & trying to wear down Middleton in the second half! Don't know if Middleton has depth but the Vikings will play ten (10) players & there's not to much difference from the starting five & the second five. Coach Abernathy has the Vikings in shape & they can go all night!!

Humboldt 88 Greenfield 62, bench played majority of 2nd half! Greenfield played a packed zone & tried to stop Pankey & Jones and make Humboldt shoot from outside. Humboldt has outside shooters & hit several threes which makes this team unique! Humboldt has never had two (2) solid post players, shooting guards, good team defense & unselfish players, all on same team! Hopefully, they can continue to get better & be ready for Middleton on Saturday!

Union City has quietly gone 10-3 and 6-0 so far this season...They have a district game with Greenfield Tuesday night and a game In The Eagles Nest against Graves County, KY before heading out to North Carolina to play in a big tournament filled with elite national talent...They have already faced the #2 or #3 prospect out of the 2018 class, Zion Williamson who is a beast in a tournament in Illinois...They will be battle tested to start the new year...

    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
    • Dang I feel bad for the kid. I’m sure he loves his dad and wants to do anything for his dad but I don’t think he realizes his dad isn’t doing the best for his football career if he keeps jumping schools.
    • I’m not taking shots at the kid, but “athlete” is not something I would use to describe him. He was a long, lengthy, defensive back
    • Mistakes like that should never happen.
