This is a good rivalry between two classy programs. Hat's off to Scotts Hill for pulling one of the biggest upsets of the season. 

 

Thanks @38320...we've grown all season, and the lumps we've taken(thanks, Riverside...lol!!!) have helped as much or more than the victories. When the time comes that we can't advance, I hope that it's because we were just flat out beaten by a better team, but whatever the reason, these boys have made the community proud!

 

  Best of luck next Friday...if we can't move on, I hope that y'all can.

I got to the game halfway through first Q. This was the best HS game I have seen all year. Both Defenses were stout. No way you beat Adamsville running the ball. You have to mix it up and SH did. Lott was unreal in first half with his legs. He is fast and super quick. SH could not tackle him in the open field. SH made the plays on third and fourth down when they had to. Great coaching on both sides by Stroup and Gray. I really think SH was the only team in Region 5 other than Waverly that could have beaten Adamsville. Very clean game with good sportsmanship both ways. Congrats to Aville on a great season once again. You will be a force again next year. Congrats to Scotts Hill and my friend Trader on an amazing season. Love to see you get to Semis!

Scotts hill played extremely balanced on offense and tough on defense. Short passing game has always hurt Aville. Lots of crosses and short post ups, mixed in with occasional long ball. Aville picked off two and got hands on several more but it did not phase Scotts hill qb or play calling. They came to win and drove 93 yards on last drive to get it done. Congrats to them. i don't think Aville played well or at least didn't match intensity that the hill brought. they deserve to move on and should do well. Good luck.

Huge fan of "my" girls...probably get it with a #...think I remember that #12 (F M) had some kinfolk there?

 

C. Gary is her! She lives in Savannah now but man could she ball!! Her dad Sammy, my first cousin, and his wife June are two of my favorite people in this world!! Maybe we can get together at a roundball game sometime!
