Actually 2 fumble recoveries!! LA had a couple of athletes but not a lot of imagination on offense. Springfield came out in the 2nd half and just looked like they wanted it more. I'm glad the fire has shown up in these boys at the right time!! We play with the intensity we showed in the 2nd half for a whole game and it will be fun to watch. Really proud of the boys for playing hard. We were beat up with some guys out, but give credit to the young men who stepped up and replaced them. Truly a team effort last night.

Good win for the Jackets , defense really picked it up in the second half. Good to see the Jackets pounding the rock on offense , establishing the running game was important against a ball control offense like Lipscomb.On to Maplewood for round two.

Lipscomb basically runs a WingT offense.  The key for Springfield is to keep the Oregon commit #73 Rutger Rietmaier out of the YellowJackets backfield.  He is a big fast dude that will create lots of problems.
