If it's an ACL tear don't think he should play.

Two schools of thought to this.

1. It is torn. You can't tear it any worse once it is a complete tear. A brace will allow him to play within his own pain tolerance and lead his undefeated team into the playoffs.

2. It is torn and he needs to go ahead and get it repaired to get ready for the next chapter.(ie. college ball). His basketball season and probably baseball are over also at that point.

Either way it is his and Mom's decision. He wants to play. Can't say that I blame him.

My son would get it fixed and be ready for college. Can't imagine risking so much. Unless he doesn't plan to play college ball

If he's thinking about playing it can't be the acl. That'd be a terrible idea

In 2012, Siegel's Brent Stockstill played against Maryville in the 4th round and put up some great numbers with a torn ACL, they just came up short 47-43. He threw for 373 and 4 touchdowns that night.

So it can be done!

Yes he is currently setting all the passing records at MTSU right now as a Sophomore. He is Coach Stock's son.
