I wanna congratulate UC also for one heck of a run in 1a! Hate yalls season had to be finished off full of injuries, and no disrespect to Dresden by saying that, y'all are obviously the best team over there. UC will go to 2a next year and never miss a beat! Best of luck to y'all

I'd agree on other years, but they're not the better team this year. In the first game, they had three injuries to our two. They had their starting defense. In this game, Scribner was back. The UC coach even said this would be the "real" UC. This game would've been worse than the last time if it wasn't for the weather in the first half. I just don't get this injury card. We've dominated them twice, as the scores show. Thankfully, some of their fans like Swo even admitted we were just physically better. Dresden just never gets credit. If Dresden players are hurt, no one bats an eye.

If Winn, Yates, Thomas, and a starting offensive/defensive lineman were all out for the season in a 1 week period, you would be batting more than an eye.... you'd be heartbroken. Those positions are what we lost. UC had a total of 18 players (yes I said 18) with some sort of broken bone/torn ligaments/slipped disk issue during the season. We comment on the injuries but players and coaches say "next man up". Our young players played hard, Kennedy (fullback) was a warrior. We played hard, we competed, we limited fumbles, but Dresden better team. That's how it is sometimes.

No one is 100% at this point in the year. That's part of the game. I'm talking about players that were out. Bumpus is the only one that would've made a difference, and he played the first game. Scribner played last Friday. You're using a false equivalency by saying "What if you lost Dresser, Yates, Thomas, etc.?" We were the better team this year by a lot, period. This group has beat UC since they started playing the game. Again, the first game we had two players out to your three. People try to slide around that. The coach did say this was the "real" UC in an interview. That sounded like they were ready, but we still are hearing the same thing from last time. We're a spread team and played in that weather, so please just give the kids credit for once. They won.

You realize that Scribner had ACL surgery just a couple weeks ago? Not sure where you are getting your info. Imagine if Winn, McDonald and Yates had season ending injuries. Think about that.

Regardless, Dresden was better team and would've been tough to beat even if UC was healthy. UC only had 7 seniors this year and was down to 1 healthy. This simply wasn't no where near the caliber of UC teams of the past. Reference the jamboree game against Haywood where UC wasn't even close.
