Hampton 2017

Shouldn't 2017 be a weaker year for Hampton compared to the past several?

We lose a couple good linemen, receiver and stud RB & FB which were great Lbrs too....We may drop off a bit but if underclassmen have a good off season, we will be pretty strong....QB returns, Davenport-Taylor-Andersen returns, we have talent at the skill positions and line will have some senior leadership too...Could be worse

Lots of work to be done. Can,t see next years bunch being as good as the last  2. Could be good enough to win the region and a playoff game or 3.

Probably not as good as the last 2...But the pieces are there...May even be better in the secondary than last... Have a couple fast, powerful backs coming up too.

Looking at what lies ahead, this bunch could go pretty deep

I was thinking the 2015 team was kind of the pinnacle. 2016 was a slight drop then 2017 would be a little more drop. Is that a fair assessment?

Thats how I would  access it.

Shewww...Having three 1000+ yd backs (one that was a dandy receiver also), Receivers like Wiltshire and Chambers, a 3000+ yd QB, disciplined quick line, speed everywhere with 'between-the-ears' FB knowledge would be the pinnacle...But matching that in this neck of the woods will be hard...I think we can get awfully close the next couple years IF they work like that bunch did

I think the work ethic may be even better.

    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
    • The lawsuit requests a jury trial. Sable Winfree has extremely competent legal representation. FYI - her lawyer represented the Warren County school system for years, and I believe he knows what constitutes a reasonable lawsuit.
