Congratulations to Josh Reynolds of Greenbrier on being voted Middle TN Dream Team Coach of the Year by his fellow coaches. He has done an outstanding job of coaching his kids the last several years and is finally getting some of the recognition that he deserves. Coach Reynolds started the middle school program at Greenbrier 5 years ago and took over the HS program 4 years ago. His teams have been region champs and made the state tournament for 3 years in a row. Congratulations Josh Reynolds on a job well done!

I'm not sure about all of the wrestlers who were voted on the team, but please feel free to post if you do.

Im not sure on who all is on the team but I know 170 is Kyle Smith from Beech.

126 is an interesting situation for sure. Here's some the top I would think and how they faired against each other

Daniel Fowler (Indy) - 2 losses to Klingensmith, Two wins over Henderson

Cameron Henderson (Smyrna) 2 losses to Fowler, two wins over Klingensmith

Cole Klingensmith (Summit) 2 losses to Henderson, two wins over Fowler

Austin Plymlee (Mt Juliet) loss to Henderson, 2 wins over Klingensmith

My vote here would be Jack Shrader from Franklin, his lone midstate loss was to Eason from FRHS at the Buford Sportswear Tourney in ATL, to which he avenged the next week in the finals of Eason's home tourney.

132 -- Helton has a loss to Klingensmith at 126 at the GP West. Im about 98% sure the pick wasn't Nathan Porter from Summit so I have no idea who it was.

Bump, don't forget about the D2 wrestlers as well. King, Elkin, Wesnofske and Hooker just to name a few off the top of my head.

D2 does not count.  Let's not ever forget they were forced out of because they were not good enough to compete with the public schools.

If you do consider the D2 schools what about Christian Simpson @ 113?

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
