BigDaddy_1
I doubt that assessment. Neither team is that great or unbeatable. When on a roll, lots of teams get it done. And it's happened many times when tourney time rolls around. That's why it's always interesting to watch it play out..
rabbitranch
I believe tonight's Stone Mem. game will tell a lot about whether they're ready for the run.
BigDaddy_1
Agreed rabbit. Big emotional wins have followed up with let downs. But Clarkrange is capable of winning tonight.. but again, focus focus focus

BasketBro
PC by double digits to win the disctrict finals in a good game for 3 quarters.... The ole ball coach has fired his bullets PC has lost 2 poorly played games to Crange With that said, Crange is a very good team Prediction that speed finally overcomes size

They can't play defense and stop anyone with size. Their only hope is that the 3s fall and to run. Lamar isn't going to let the game be fast so I will take Crange by 3-5. pioneer42
It is amazing what a big body presence does to a team. Clarkrange, Pickett County, and South Green will all be tough outs.

If their shooters are on like they were on Thursday night they'll be hanging another gold ball in the trophy case. Meadows isn't the only post presence they have. South Greene will have to beat both of these teams to win the gold ball. That's not likely to happen.

These two teams have much higher goals and anything short of a gold ball will be a disappointment for either team. There is no one on in 8A that can touch either team nor does anyone in VanBuren's Region have a chance in the substrate games. Both will be in the glass house. Greenfield, Peabody, Gibson County, Union City, Gleason, Dresden, Huntingdon, Trinity and Middleton are all good enough to play in the Boro and only 2 of them can go. Meadows isn't the only post presence they have. South Greene will have to beat both of these teams to win the gold ball. That's not likely to happen. That also means that either PC or Clarkrange would have to beat SG and the other team again, that's less likely to happen for who ever is in SG side of the bracket. SG has played alot of tough teams this year that have a good shot of making it to the Glass house in AA and AAA. They have beaten District 1AAA Champ (Daniel Boone), District 1 AA champ (Sullivan East), District 2 AA champ (Grainger), and District 3 AA Champ (Gatlinburg Pittman) . There loses has been to District 2AAA Champ (Morristown West), District 3 AAA Champ (Oakridge), and the District 3 AA Champ (GP). They will be battle tested and for most of the team this would be there 2nd and 3rd year playing at the glass house which is always a plus (not to mention playing there for the last 2 volleyball championship on that floor) Edited February 19, 2017 by Swipes

They are still the champs until someone knocks them off. I see the list of teams you've beaten and I don't see any teams from Middle or West Tn where the true power lies in Tn Girls basketball. East Tn is traditionally the weakest of all, but I will say that SG and Morristown West are quality teams. District 7A will bring back the gold ball again this year though. SG has had a nice run but it ends this year. You heard it here first
