I dont know this for sure, but i would put a pretty good bet on it,Patrick Willis from Bruceton or that LB for Franklin.

Dane Chrisman from Cloudland has a lot but I doubt is as many as these guys.

Dane had 144 tackles His team mate mark had 123 tackles. I dont know who had the most in the state though....

Tyler francisco had 141 tackles for Powell Valley this year. 91 of those were solos. Pretty good for 5'10 165 lbs.

According to the Tennessean -- whose stats are not always complete -- Middle Tennessee's tackling leader is Harpeth's Joshua Conatser with 157 tackles.

Too much offense to have a leading tackler. Too many talented people on defense. Too many blowouts to keep first stringers in.

In my opinion, a lot of tackles is a bad thing. That just means that the defense is having to play way more than the offense, because the "O" can't put up the points.

The problem with this statistic is that it is so subjective. Unlike offensive stats, when a defensive player is given credit for a tackle in a group, it becomes a matter of who is scoring the data and how the data is measured. For instance, when I score a tackle, I slow the video down and watch each play several times. I credit a tackle to only those who earn a solo tackle (1-T) and an assist (1-A = 1/2-T) to any two players who I think "made the play." Each "assist" equals a half tackle so for every two assists a player is given credit for one tackle. I have worked in programs at other schools where scoring data was done differently. I remember a few years ago going to an all region banquet and a coach got up and said his leading tackler had almost 200 tackles. All of the coaches looked at each other and almost broke out laughing because he didn't make any tackles in our game. These numbers are very subjective and are important to the players, but not of much value in the big scope of things.

ELA, I bet I know which coach that was. A ceartain coach who used to be in the same region as you (If I recall right) loves making up his own stats. I remember one year where half the guys on his defense had 130 or more and one specific kid had nearly 200. BAH!!
