Why can't they go out and find some donors give them the opportunity to put their name on it. I'm sure Pilot truck stops has their name on all the fields in Knoxville. Make these builders building all these condos bringing more and more people to an overcrowded Nashville contribute.

Your right but it also requires someone on the administrative level to do a little work. I know if coaches/ad's were tasked with getting the wheels rolling it would happen in most if not all situations.

Guess it will look like McGavock. Was the field in that bad of shape. Should've just spent the extra 500 grand and installed the fieldturf. Nashville area schools will be the last to get fieldturf. Knoxville and Memphis already have several public schools with it already.

Don't want it. There's a reason why the NFL don't play on it.

Off the top of my head 13 of the NFL stadiums have some sort of fieldturf .

Bills Jets Giants Colts Bengals Vikings Lions Falcons Saints Cowboys Texans Ravens Seahawks Patriots (14). The turf fields I've been on are pretty dang nice and I'm sure they get more abuse than any NFL stadium. Between football boys and girls soccer and lacrosse at some places. On the HS level assures field conditions are never a factor.

Because the developers are too busy paying off the Government officials making them rich off the taxpayers. You know like the ones licking their chops to get the fairgrounds to develop.

Drove by on I65 last week they had brought in lots of rock on visitors side, then over last few days had several loads of dirt moved in over the rock.  Don't know status of ticket booth and restrooms.  Might make a detour on to Franklin Rd this week to see.

In 1971 watched legendary Coach Boyce Smith of Springfield coach his final game after 43 years as Jacket coach at the Overton Stadium. At the time I was very young , years later I realized the importance of the game as later on he retired, ending a stellar career as coach of the Yellow Jackets.
