Camden got a huge 49-7 win last night and they finished the regular season at 2-8 (2-3 in the region).

Tonight's Cheatham @ Fairview game decides the regular season title.

Tonight's Harpeth @ Sycamore game determines the following:

if Harpeth wins:

3.). Harpeth (travel to Giles County)

4.). Sycamore (travel to Pearl-Cohn)

if Sycamore wins:

3.). Sycamore (travel to Giles County)

4.). Camden (travel to Pearl-Cohn)

The thought of taking this young Camden  team into a playoff game is good and bad IMO .  They could use the extra practices and experience  but will that experience be so bad that it hurts more than it helps?       I am all for keeping the playoff streak alive myself even if i don't agree with a 2-8 team getting in.

I think sycamore has a great shot at beating Giles. This might be the 4th or 5th best team they have played this year. Their offense has came around the last couple weeks since making a qb change and their defense has been good at times all year.

Sycamore will have to play their A+++ game.

Look past the 6-4 record, this will probably be the best offense sycamore has seen. They have over 4000 yards of offense. 2700 passing and 1500 rushing. More than White House (2600), cheatham (3400) and Fairview (3800+). They will have receivers running all over the place.

the only 3a team they lost too was Pearl Cohn and they were in that game to about the middle of the 3rd quarter. They played Marshall county for about 3 quarters as well. E

Sycamore has been out scored by there playoff opponents 142 to 31 or something like this. So it will require some turn overs, and keep the offense off the field. Giles Defense has given up some yards this year.

Good luck to War eagles

Giles best win is against a 5-5 Franklin county team. And they lost to 3-7 Lincoln county.

So what you saying? Smoke and mirrors?? Them giles boys are pretty nice. That QB and Wr and a pain in the rear. Sycamore Won 7-3 over hunters lane o_0 Giles will win this buy 21+ #Bookit

I don't believe that it will be that close. The Giles QB will have a field day. Sycamore will struggle to move the ball and won't even slow down that offense.

i would have to disagree our best win would have to be against a really good underrated east nashville team.. and also the lincoln co game we had mutilple players out including starting QB

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
