Of course Elder and jones are our returning running backs.  Romeo Wykle whom plays safety is a stud WR that can take it to the house any play. He's our only 2 way player that has a lot of offers. A bunch of new WRs most all sophomores but the one who stands out is Robert Flowers who reminds me of Tyler Davis. He's a sophomore and is about 6'2. We will throw the ball a lot more this year. Our QB is Kellye Cawood who is returning from South Pittsburg who moved but now is back. He's a Dual threat that can sling it but Athletic too. We also have a Freshman QB named Javon Burke who is just a Freshman but has the size of a senior and is very raw. He could be very special if he can mature and learn the offense more. We have 3 new starters on the offensive line. This will be our biggest question marks. Cummings said this could be one of the biggest lines he's ever coached. They have worked hard all summer to get stronger. But if these guys can play physical and block then we will be hard to beat. We did pretty good in 7 on 7s. We've scrimmaged East Hamilton and Central. Beat EH easily and Central was more of a mock scrimmage and nobody was really trying to score but preseason means nothing. To sum it up, if our offensive line can mature and be physical and protect our QB, then I believe we can be a very good football team. Our offensive line play has been bad the last few years and it has to improve to compete in 6a. So that will be the question.

Thanks Foose. It sounds like this game could come down to line play and QB play. We know both these teams have the backs to get it done but which team can control the LOS and which QB can make the most plays when needed. Should be a good game. Hoping for an injury free outing for both schools.

GO EAGLES!!!
