Who has a better backfield? Christian Simon for Rhea rushed for more than 1000 yards. Cleveland's Keegan Jones and Micaleous Elder rushed for more than 1000 yards collectively between them.

As mentioned if Cleveland's line is better this year Jones and Elder are going to have very good years. Simon has had a very good preseason, but the thing for Rhea is the other backs. Valasco has some got some playing time last year, but beyond him we are inexperienced and young. Now there are a couple young guys that have been impressive like sophomore Jackson Langley (Simon's back up) who has looked very good. I kind of look for him to get more time as the season goes along.

Simon is definitely the feature back with Langley and Young backing him up at fullback. Velasco and Morrison are the top two wings with Shelfer, Maldonado, Ferry, and a few others backing them up. There is no shortage of talent in this group, but inexperience could be an issue. Out of the young backs, Maldonado (#11) has shown the most impressive skills to me. He makes good cuts, has a quick burst, and great vision.

Hard to tell anything from a Jamboree even when they play a full half but I admit Cleveland looked pretty good last Friday (however I think LC may be pretty bad).

CBRF, Chekerz or Foose, how have the Blue Raiders looked in their other scrimmages this summer/fall? What have you guys seen as their biggest improvement from last year? The Raiders came out smoking hot last year before all the injuries, besides the backs already mentioned who else is back from last years team?

Really haven't seen or heard much about this preseason from the Raider fans. I have watched the Eagles in the preseason and while I wouldn't say they have been overly impressive they have looked SOLID but all I know about Cleveland is what I saw this past Friday and they looked FAST....

GO EAGLES!

Of course Elder and jones are our returning running backs.  Romeo Wykle whom plays safety is a stud WR that can take it to the house any play. He's our only 2 way player that has a lot of offers. A bunch of new WRs most all sophomores but the one who stands out is Robert Flowers who reminds me of Tyler Davis. He's a sophomore and is about 6'2. We will throw the ball a lot more this year. Our QB is Kellye Cawood who is returning from South Pittsburg who moved but now is back. He's a Dual threat that can sling it but Athletic too. We also have a Freshman QB named Javon Burke who is just a Freshman but has the size of a senior and is very raw. He could be very special if he can mature and learn the offense more. We have 3 new starters on the offensive line. This will be our biggest question marks. Cummings said this could be one of the biggest lines he's ever coached. They have worked hard all summer to get stronger. But if these guys can play physical and block then we will be hard to beat. We did pretty good in 7 on 7s. We've scrimmaged East Hamilton and Central. Beat EH easily and Central was more of a mock scrimmage and nobody was really trying to score but preseason means nothing. To sum it up, if our offensive line can mature and be physical and protect our QB, then I believe we can be a very good football team. Our offensive line play has been bad the last few years and it has to improve to compete in 6a. So that will be the question.

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
