Week 3...Ya'll ready for this..Science Hill has 5 in a row now and will make it 6. I just don't see enough consistency from DB to make this a game. The Hill has too much speed and will wear down the Tribe...DB has some bruising backs but they have to keep up with the Hill and I don't think they can.

Of course, turnovers and penalties could make the above moot...

man, if my Greene Devils didnt have a showdown for first place with the state powerhouse Union Co. I would...............oh wait, i think i might have given Union a bit too much credit here, I meant to say, the 1 in a row Union Co......at any rate, Im sure Greeneville vs Union will be a much more exciting game than this boring ole DB vs SH snooz fest.....hehe....Good luck to both  teams, this game will be fantastic surely and If i owned a helicopter I would hop in it after the first quarter of the Union game and fly that puppy to J. Fred. Dont beat up on em too bad Indians, we want them at  full strength in 2 weeks.

Both teams are terrible on defense. Science Hill has the advantage in speed on offense. DB just makes to many mistakes to stay in this game. 50 something to 20 something.

I think you're right.  This will be a lopsided game.

I didn't realize that DB was loaded with seniors and OR was a young team last night - and still DB struggled.  Sad statement.

Looks like this is taking its toll on these threads.   You are almost the last man standing as a poster.

they won't beat Alcoa.

At the beginning of the season I would agree, however after seeing the Tribe play last night (vs. just reading about it in the paper) I don't think Alcoa can hang.      Now I fully expect Alcoa to be in the 3A game in Cookeville this year, but there is a big difference in 6A, DB is just way too much for them.

I wouldn't call the defense for either team terrible. Both defenses certainly have some things they need to work on but they're not terrible.

SH's defense held Elizabethton to just 3 pts in the 1st half last week and just 13 pts to Ooltewah in the 1st half last night. The problem with the Topper defense is they seem to go into complacency mode as soon as they get a 14+ pt lead. The defense got complacent in the 2nd half of both games and let their opponents back in it. They dominated Elizabethton and Ooltewah on both sides of the ball.

DB could've won the game vs Greeneville if they hadn't shot themselves in the foot time and again. And they whooped OR. DB wins by 3 scores last night if not for the dumb penalties.

SH and DB look pretty evenly matched to me. Both teams have explosive offenses. Defense with both aren't great but I wouldn't say they're bad either.
