375 is the cutoff for 1A per TSSAA website

Then he is correct it changed!it was. 405 before if I am correct!I know in 1 A the only strong home gates where UC,Dresden and not much else!!Trinity and Aville we will sell out!!!

I personally think it is better to be  in 2a based on better gate, better games week in and week out.  While constantly being a state championship contender in 1a would be nice, that schedule was miserable outside of about 2 games per year. Also, personally the way 1A is lined up now without schools like Trenton, UC, etc, it really isn't a great achievement to bring home the gold ball for schools like Dresden and Huntington.  Kind of a hollow victory if you will.  this isn't those schools fault, it's just where the meter lies.  The gold ball might as well be a gold cupcake.

With that being said, I do believe Dresden's team last year could have won 2a state, and I definitely think Huntington would be a state title contender in 2a this year as well. Two of West TN's best programs
