Stats for the Sevier County game from Mark Haste Twitter page.

Kickoff Return...K. Pendergrass 1/85, TD

Interception...J. McGhee 1/40, TD

Passing...J. Stewart 12/20, 209, TD, 3INT

Receiving...J. Mitchell 2/73, TD

                 C. Martin 4/51

               K. Pendergrass 1/48

               J. McGhee 2/14

              I. Johnson 2/13

             T. Romano 1/10

Rushing...J. Stewart 18/42, TD

                 T. Romano 14/30

               I. Johnson 2/11

              A. Simpson 1/7

             K. Pendergrass 2/10

Just looking at the stats the name that jumps out to me is K. Pendergrass. He is just involved in almost every aspect of the game. Stewart likes to spread the ball around which is better than focusing on just one guy (love ya Tee).

Simply put, very proud of the Wildcats coach, players, support staff, all the cheerleading groups, band, students and CoachT posters. You all live in a great city.

Congratulations 'Cats!!! Finding ways to win and playing hard. Good win over a much, much improved SC team.

You're right. They were better than I thought they would be. Even though Gaddis said they were, I wanted to see for myself. We returned a pick for a TD and a kickoff for a TD. Even though our offense was dismal, we found ways to win. Next up is Karns!

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
