I confirmed it with a parent. Not one single practice all week. This is dumbest thing I’ve heard of since telling the seniors they didn't have to travel for the first round of the playoffs last year. Was Shad on a cruise or job interviews?

Never heard of taking the week off before in High School Football ... Most coaches relish getting all the practices in and maybe trying a few new things and taking some closer looks at some of the younger guys . I can't imagine not practicing when you're allowed to , that sounds like someone has given up or just doesn't care . Seriously , this blows my mind ! Maryville making it to State or almost there every year has given those kids nearly a half season more of practice every year , so basically a Freshman who suits out with the varsity plays or practices 6 seasons ( sort of like Starz ) compared to the 4 of a non playoff team . Coach is letting his team down by not giving those young kids a chance to practice .
