Covington @ Bolivar Central

I still remember the whipping Bolivar laid on my Chargers at our place last year. I would imagine that our coaches and players do too.  The question is whether we can do anything to return the favor this year in Bolivar? We will see Friday night.

The Score Predictor has Covington 41 Bolivar 34

The Sonny-Moore power rankings show Covington at 126, Bolivar at 113. The difference is 13, but add 3 for home field advantage. That puts the spread at 10 points. 

Covington is on a definite roll, but I'm sure Bolivar would like to beat us again. How do y'all see it?

If Covington was playing for something, they would this one by more then 10 points, but since they aren't, I don't know how to judge this. Something tells me that Covington starters won't play all 48, more backups. Even, for both teams. This game is pretty much meaningless in terms of seeding.

Seeding may be set, but I expect Covington to be motivated anyway.

I say Covington wins big! McNairy played both and Covington is way better than Bolivar. If McNairy was didn't give up 2 he's last 5 minutes then we would have at them. All they got is the QB. Stop him and its easy win. And I don't think Bolivar can stop Covington offense!

Hard to argue with the above posts. Bolivar offense is legit but the defense is beyond suspect.

I have covington winning by 18 plus.

Yep. Bolivar defense is horrible. But they can definitely score at anytime. They will make covingtons offense stay on their toes. But Covington should win this one comfortably.

So, I assume that Bolivar is primarily a passing team? As I recall, their QB is being recruited by D1 programs. Who is leading in his recruitment?

He has to be the real deal then. What do we know about the rest of their offense? Didn't they have a real good running back last year?

He is not a passing QB. He maybe passed 3 or 4 times against McNairy. He is big and will run all over you though. He is a running QB. Got to stop his running. But everyone ran the ball down McNairys throat!
