Seeing the schools listed like this makes me wonder if we have too many teams in the playoffs. Just how many teams after the regular season were eliminated? Of course, there is another stream of thought that says the more the merrier. I don't know what is best.

Willie - yeah, maybe it would be easier to list the teams NOT in the playoffs.

There should be one division, not 2

There should be 3 classes

Districts should have 8-10 teams in each

1st and 2nd place teams should qualify for the playoffs

Other teams winning 6 or more games quify for a bowl game

Playoff game proceeds should be divided equally by the teams playing

If implemented, qualifying for the playoffs would be significant and a championship would mean something

I think the top 2 from each region should go to the playoffs with a 5/6 classification. That would reduce the number from 192 Division 1 teams to 96 Teams with 6 classifications. Or down to 80 teams with 5 Classifications.

You would reduce the rounds down to 4. (I like this better than 5).

When my dad played in the late 70s early 80s it was the #1 team in the district and there were 3 classifications.

If you did 5/6 classifications and 8 regions with #1 teams going in playoffs then you have 3 Rounds of playoffs.

GHSA (Georgia) has 6 classifications and have roughly 192 teams in the playoffs like we do also.

KHSAA (kentucky) has 6 classifications with around 186 teams

Seems looks like most Athletic Associations are going with more is better aka $$$$$$$$$$$$$

I agree totally , make the Gold Balls more Precious ! one division 3 , maybe 4 Classes at the most ... Teams with losing records making the Playoffs is ridiculous !

You guys are just wasting space. The TSSAA is never gonna go back to 3-4 classes. Maybe 5 in Division I

I agree with you. Too much money being made off of the gates. They pull half of the gate from every single playoff game. I honestly don't seem them going back to a 5 Classifications.
