They're not a 5/6A school but Bolivar has my vote. The Tigers have two West Virginia commits and a Junior linebacker who will be entertain in recruiting during the offseason. A lot of people predict them to finish first in Region 7-3A, but they finished fourth. A loss to an average Milan team and a loss a decent but definitely beatable South Gibson team. Last year they went 8-3, this year they finished 6-5. They gave up 32 PPG this year on defense but scored 37 PPG as well. But certainly underperformed. And what would you know about WB? It's true that WB has not had the best history, but they have had some decent to good years. WB has challenges very few schools face like being within a few miles of two state powers who just happen to be open zone. Look at this year, the first game went bad and one of our best players was gone to Maryville the next week. That is the kind of #### we are facing. Also, one of the reasons expectations were so high this year is because the new QB looked very promising in scrimmages and 7 on 7s. He has a cannon for an arm and is very accurate. However, his potential did not make it to the field on friday nights for whatever reason. He ended up getting injured and the freshman backup came in and outperformed him. These are the kind of things that you cant really predict in preseason. Oh, and some of our opponents ended up being much better than anticipated. Lenoir City and Anderson County were both terrible last year, but they both contended for their region championships. Why? They both had great QB play which is something we did not have. Warren County hasn't had a winning season since 1990. Coffee County hasn't won more than 3 games in a season since 2007. And this year they went 3-7 with close losses to Siegel and Tullahoma by a combined 9 points in addition to losing to Oakland, Blackman, Riverdale and Cookeville.
