Winner of this game is going to state in my opinion. This is another tight game both teams are evenly matched. If Beech controls the clock and dominate on defense they will very much so will win. If Hillsboro can get those explosive points early they will win, don’t think Beech is built to go fast.

Agree. The team who goes ahead in the 4th and controls the clock with long drives wins. Both teams are playing well down the stretch on both sides of the ball, but I would give Hillsboro the go-ahead in this revenge match. To go out on a limb, I think the winner of this game and the Fulton vs Catholic game have a rendezvous with destiny in Cookville.

Hillsboro just couldn't score inside the 10. That was the difference in the game. The Burro defense played lights out. Holding Beech to 10 points was a heck of an effort and should have been enough to win the game. Congrats to Beech, I expect them to represent the West in Cookeville.

Not so fast!!! Remember who gave Beech their closest game all year? That's right good ole Henry County and yes we are still alive and playing and playing our best football of the season!

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
