Catholic vs Oak Ridge: A Rivalry is Born

Back to football. Catholic looked very good vs. Fulton. Still missing a few players with injuries that will help if they make it back. Line played very well with the exception of some (as usual) penalties on both sides of the ball. Fulton really didn't have the size to match up. Brown and Fluker ran the ball with authority and Bussell had some big runs showing his speed. Nice to see Sompayrac back in the lineup at QB. Made some big runs and threw the ball better than expected given his shoulder issue. I'm excited to see this matchup.

Come on man. I'm no OR fan, but that "take" ranks right up there with some of the dumbest I've ever seen on the T. Oak Ridge is definitely a community that knows football.

I didn't say "knows" football , I said follows football, at least in East Tennessee.  Pay attention.  Cade Mays is a D1 player committed to Tennessee.  How if you follow OR do you not know who he is.  I can guarantee that most everyone in our area knew who Tee Higgins was last the last few years.  You all predicted OR to lose to Fulton in week 11.  Did you make that prediction not knowing anything about their team?  That's my point.  But I'm wasting my time with you people, you sit back and belly ache about Gaddis not knowing how to schedule early in the season, now you complain because having to play Catholic isn't fair because they or the TSSAA cheat.  And you don't know who one of the best players on their team is!!

Oak Ridge has improved all year, and I did not think they would.  But I am eating crow on that.  Can they beat Catholic?  I don't know, but they have proven me wrong all year, l so let's hope they can.

I saw Cade in Columbus on Saturday, but I honestly couldn't tell you what his jersey # is. I'm betting I could probably guess it, if you give me 30 chances. Between 50 and 79 right?  :roflol:

I've seen him at Johnny Longs a few times.  He is a beast.  He seems to have a bit of Taylor Lewan in him, i.e. Bad attitude.  Their running backs are impressive also.  But the big boys up front make it s bit easy for them.  It will be interesting to see how how our DL holds up come the second half.  Also, are our dbs able to hang with their receivers.  I believe they will be, but that may also depend on the DL play and getting pressure on their QB.

He's definitely a beast. Definitely has a chance to be great at the next level. His attitude almost got the best of him on Friday night. He's lucky he didn't get ejected (and suspended, by rule) after the 2nd personal foul. In college, that's an automatic ejection.

    • I extend my gratitude to ManCoverage for initiating this discussion thread tailored to the residents of Trousdale County. In times of adversity within our football team, it is imperative to have an outlet for expression, and what better platform than CoachT's Craigslist forum? I respectfully request that GOAT exercise discretion in his commentary, as his remarks have caused me personal distress.
    • I am inclined to wager a substantial portion of my financial assets on the likelihood that Waggoner shall transition to an alternative coaching vocation prior to the year 2028. It is my contention that discerning individuals are beginning to perceive his coaching prowess as lacking in the requisite excellence. Allow me to articulate the following assertion: Waggoner represents a markedly superior choice compared to the individual who perpetrated the act of fuel theft.   This individual exhibits a conspicuous propensity for frequent professional transitions, a trait which undermines his credibility and renders him an untenable choice for serious consideration. It is indeed confounding that his candidacy continues to garner attention and support.
