Boy that's a beautiful campus and arena, parked over by the football field and was very envious. It's all sure nice! Tried to get some M&M's but they wouldn't let me in the factory. haha

Thanks, it really is looking nice at CHS. It was good welcoming Coach Green back. Cleveland basketball was very succesful under him.

We can't play much worse than we did yesterday, that's for sure. Hopefully we can get JaVonte back soon. I still don't think we've played a game yet with all the guys being together.

My head is still in football mode. Going crazy hoping Tee Higgins and Clemson wins the National Championship.

I definitely miss the Wildcat Basketball teams. Really hoping the girls get settled in and makes a State run at Riverdale's girls. When the boys get everybody on the same page I think Coach Green will do magic with them.

Dec, 27 - Dec. 29, Oak Ridge will play in the Next Level Hoop Fest from Christ Presbyterian School.  The teams playing are CPS, Brentwood Academy, Whitehaven, Oak Ridge, Baptist Prep (Ark),  Discovery High School of Georgia, Mt.  Bethel Christian Academy (GA) and Hopkinsville (KY).

OR opens up tomorrow against Discovery High School (GA). The Titans are big with 6'6", 8'7" and a 6'8" players. The roster also includes  a 6'3" and two 6"4" players.

Even with that size they only have  a 7 - 5 record but this against probably some of the best teams in Georgia.

MaxPrep has Discovery as the #52 team in Georgia and # 1251 in the nation.

My guess is if we finally have our team together and they don't get intimidated during warm ups we can play with the Georgia team.

Oak Ridge defeated Discovery Georgia 67 - 63. Thursday, the Wildcats play the winner of CPS vs Baptist Prep (ARK).

Oak Ridge will play Baptist Prep of Arkansas tonight at 7:30. David will have the game on 92.7, prepradio and Ch 15.

In the win over Discovery  (GA), the 2017 - 18 Wildballers Band of Brothers was finally all in place. The team was led by Levert Smith ( 18 pts., 5 assists,, 3 rebounds and 8 - 12 clutch free throws. ). Marcus Smith  16 points with 3 for 4 three point shots. Seth Caldwell, 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks..

According to the article I read the Cats jumped out to a big lead, used slashing guards to penetrate and dish off to win the contest.

I forgot, the OR vs Discovery game was streamed live on that NFHS web site available through tssaa.org. So if you still have a subscription from football season you can watch that game and probably the rest of the games in this tournament.
