Alcoa is good for sure and you might very well need a little luck.I always have to pull for my area teams first . Alcoa and Maryville have brought a lot of football pride back to east TN and I have met many of their fans and just can't pull against them unless it's a game against my Devils or when my kids competed against them in sports.I do however hope both teams have no injuries and get back home safe

I'm looking forward to the trip back to Cookeville. Went to school at Tech and met my wife there, so it's a homecoming for me.

As I found out in 2012, there is no better feeling than seeing my Covington Chargers take the field on Overall Field, playing for the State Title. Since Tech's colors are Purple and Gold, and Covington has the same colors, there is a symmetry there of sorts. It's much more fun than when the finals were at MTSU.

As I sat there in the stadium in 2012 and looked over the campus, lots of memories of previous football games and college experiences came back to me. This Thursday will be another special event for me personally.

I use to live in Alcoa and now almost in Greenback. Looking forward to watching both teams represent the area Thursday.

So long ago that It was called Tennessee Polytechnic Institute when I enrolled. Changed to Tennessee Technological University while I was there.

Alcoa defense priorities:

 1.  Need to focus on the Lomax-Winfrey show! especially on the edge on play action.

 2.  Key on Gant & Page out of the backfield.

3.  If Mason is in the backfield look for the draw up the gut.

4.  Keep a safety valve on Lomax. If left unchecked the short runs can keep the drives going.

5. Don't let the offense have long sustained drives like they did in the second half of the PC game.
