Biggest Job In Chattanooga Is Now Open with former UTC Head Coach John Shulman resigning at McCallie? Where does McCallie look for their next Head Coach?

Any ideas on how much this job pays or could pay? Would teaching be required? I would think there will be a LONG list of applicants.

I’ve known John for 25 years, great coach and friend I wish him and his family the best. This position will see applicants from all over. Does Jonathan Adams apply since he worked there as an assistant?

A job like this is totally negotiable. No school system with salary schedules or fixed supplement amounts. No mandatory teaching loads, etc. McCallie will get who they want and will pay whatever it takes. I look for another big name - possibly another with big time college experience.

Yeah, the privates have a big advantage in salary and other areas. That's ok that is why they are private and play in Div.II.

I would take a public school defined pension plan over any private school 401K.  The benefits package as a State Of Tennessee employee is so much better than a private school and  it's not close.

That's not even close to accurate; that's like saying all public schools are going to have the talent of Bearden or Fulton every year.
