I would say if GB has no injuries and the season plays out like it should, they are 21+ pts better than any 1A team. (Probably most 2 A teams as well.) I sure hope not!You i think are comparing apples to oranges.GB proved their worth LAST year.We all know how hard it is to repeat,we have a huge target on our back and it all comes down to staying healthy,Also that Orange and black team south of us will have something for us this year if we make it that far.Grider HATES losing and three in a row is unheard of.If we make the finals the West will have to beat a very good football team that is coached very well and have GREAT Sr leadership. Considering they return 20/22 starters from a state champion team that went 14-1 and pretty much dominated the championship game. No, I would say they are much more dominate than the 2017 Huntingdon team should have been. That team underachieved.

If a 1A team has a chance to upset them in 2018 it will have to be a game where they get several breaks because on paper Greenback is head and shoulders the best team. I haven't heard nothing about little McKinney leaving. Where did that come from. Coafield will be alright, but I agree that Greenback will mercy rule everybody except SP. But you never know what will happen, the injury bug can change a season in a hurry. Edited June 15, 2018 by rtl112

We’ve had seasons at SP where we mercy ruled about every team. Greenback should be in Cookeville for the fourth straight season in 2018. Outside of Greenback, SP, and Whitwell, the east is weak. Every year it boils down to SP and The Coalfield/Greenback Region! Every once in a while a East School will have a couple year or a year run to be decent! If all the upper valley schools keep losing these young players that are up and coming to Whitwell that I have witnessed this summer, then Whitwell will continue to field some decent teams! Sad part is I don't think Whitwell will ever get past SP!

They pretty much mercy ruled us in the playoffs.
