shockernation
Ok so someone had to start this thread...sorry biggy and 68! High expectations is an understatement!! This group runs through the region and deep in the playoffs! Of course pending injuries and kids? Sky is the limit Falcons!! Thoughts??? lakecounty1968
Lake County should have a very big year. Anything less than a semi final appearance will be a disappointment barring injury. Lake Co should be the favorite from the west but losing defensive coordinator hurt. LC should be primed for the next 3 or 4 years to make a run at Cookeville. lakecounty1968
That's ok. Would really like to play them in the semifinals. That would be one heck of a game. A lot of football to be played and a lot could happen between now and then.

Wayne Co and Cornersville both have good returning squads plus region 5 has some tough teams. Region 5&6 are a little tougher than 7&8 top to bottom. lakecounty1968
I agree with you that 5 and 6 are tougher top to bottom. Region 7 has Lake County and Dresden and then a huge drop off. You never know from year to year what region 8 will produce.
mrbigster
Really excited. Like 68 said, barring injury and maybe other scenarios and the middle school team LC has had past 2 years, should be strong at least next 4 years and maybe 5 or 6 when current incoming players will be seniors in 4 years and hoping they can get a few good players the next year or so to go with incoming 9 grade group.Never know one year to the next though. Was waiting on you.Im being subdued.I'm sure you will get the pot stirred up.I'm getting older.More calm.Or at least going to try. Don't know what Memphis will bring to the table but Freedom Prep had some good looking athletes. But we get Dresden at home this year along with non region TCA Edited July 5, 2018 by mrbigster
lakecounty1968
I have a feeling that Freedom Prep out of Memphis will be the big challenge out of region 8. They return just about the whole team plus a young QBs that is being recruited by several schools. He is just going to be a freshman. They had athletes everywhere last year and they will be a year older. Westwood lost their coach and several starters. The Longhorns always have athletes. Hillcrest was a surprise last year but was hit hard by graduation. With the rules regarding transfers in the city of Memphis you never know what school will load up.
