Fans of coach T, how do we expect da faboulous Crusaders to perform under the 8-32 direction of Orentheus Taylor.   Having a very talented team last year and winning one game I predict it to be much worse this year with blowout losses

You know its a SHAME that Liberty has fell off this much! They are always talented and last year was absolutely ridiculous. I actually expected a good game last year with Liberty and then we put up 60 on them in a 35 point blowout. Shaking my head!!

Safe to say South Side will be the best team in the city by a wide margin among the public schools

I don't think this team will beat Lexington this year. However, I do think they can beat Friendship Christian, Paducah Tilghman, Chester County, and North Side. They can have 4-5 wins, 2 of them are district wins. That can get them in the playoffs. And who knows, Chester County and Hardin County played well in their respected first round playoff games. However, that's what I see in them. They also can put up a game with South Side as well, which despite having one win, they did last year. I have to be optimistic with Taylor because he is an exceptional guy, but I don't know how good he is at player developing.

Friday will let you know where they will be. They scrimmage TCA who has 29 kids on the roster. They should put a butt whooping on tca. But if they don’t then don’t expect a whole lot from the crusaders.

Coaching is not the only thing its everything. 

I remember Taylor coached JCM.... Sheww... I honestly felt sorry for the kids that came out to play football.

True dat. But honestly Liberty has much bigger problems than the coach. The principal is not very good. I spent many years in Jackson and I wouldn't want Epperson to walk my dog. That school is failing from the top down.

Have to be honest with myself as well, Taylor resume wasn't impressive to begin with either. Assistant at Fayette Ware and Haywood when both programs were bad. Got a shot a JCM and lost it last 10 games in the regular season, school closed down. He was originally supposed to be an assistant at Liberty but left Jackson Madison County School to head to Memphis and coach at Trezevant. Yes, they "won state" but also was under fire for grade auditing and improper school enrollment to go down in classifications (I've moved on from that fiasco). Taylor got his chance at Liberty, and inherited a team who came off its best season in school season. Yes, they lost Newble, Castille, Long, etc. However anything less than that (a season of 6-8 wins) would be blamed on him, just the way life goes for coaches. 

I am not playing the race card either but I don't think Liberty is just an extreme athletic team. I think everyone considers Liberty an athletic team because they're school is majority black. I don't think that's really the case. In other words, I won't say they're athletic because they're a black team. They do have some athletes, but their team is not full of athletes.
