Croz, what makes you think that Gordonsville will be able to make up 20 points from last year? Both squads return the same amount of players and not just players, but key players. I just don’t see a 33 point turn around, but time will tell

It's a totally different attitude this year under a new staff. There was a lot of infighting last year.

I also think we upgraded at several positions. Like you said, time will tell, but I have a much better feeling than I did this time last year.

In years past Gordy seemed to be at its best when they had a mobile QB that could run and pass well.  How is the QB this year croz?  I know they got the RB back right?

We do have the RB back. The QB is a sr and a 1st year starter at that position as last year's starter transferred.

I'm cautiously optimistic that he'll have a good season.

I think you'll be surprised.

I think you’re correct croz .Watertown did not look like they had any team chemistry, they didn’t seem to look like the same team of the last 3 years ? They could come out firing on all cylinders vs Gville Friday and surprise me. We will see! With that said, I’m taking H2O in a close one.

Most of the Watertown guys I work with think the same.

With the weather they are predicting, I believe this game will be tight and I probably would give the advantage GHS just because of their running game and I believe they play a lot more under center than H2O.

I HOPE I AM WRONG!

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
