Yes good win

For those of you wanting to see the game the video rebroadcast will be on wbnt-com/OVC Saturday at 2PM, one scheduled showing due to the county fair's local coverage shows.  http://www.wbnt.com/ocv/ocv-live/

I know harley had trouble with the stream working last week, sometimes Chrome & FF doesn't work with some black screen+display error, try using the Edge browser, I usually watch it on or living room Xbox using Edge or on my desktop.

I'm interested to see the game myself, was following the tweets on Twitter(OHSradio).

Congrats Oneida!

Good luck GP the rest of the way as well. :)

Finally made it back home! Here’s my thoughts on this one

1st Half: Oneida got the momentum from the opening kickoff when GP fumbled and Oneida recovered. GP defense done a great job and kept Oneida out of the end zone and limited them to a FG. The next couple of drives GP fumbled the ball I know twice and luckily got back on it or it could have been worse. They sustained a great drive and scored a TD. Then again the fumble bug comes out and Oneida jumped on 2 of their fumbles but could only mustard 11 points making it 14-7 at half.

2nd Half: Oneidas offensive line just completely came out and dominated. I know that I talked bout the new spread offense all pre season but they didn’t need to throw it tonight at all. Oneida ran the ball at ease and scored at will much of the 2nd half. #5 Finised with 227 yds and 3scores. That came mainly all in the 2nd half. The line play was the complete difference in this game. It didn’t help that GP had I know 4 fumbles maybe more and a blocked punt. Oneida played a great game and looked sharp on both sides of the ball. Good luck to GP the rest of the year! Turnovers and line play was the difference in this one!

When you can run at will is the perfect time to work on the passing game if you really have any intentions of throwing. If you only pass when you have to then you might as well not pass. Ground and pound is fine but you better be very good at it to be successful. Sounds like we were very good at it tonight.

Fellers I seen something last night that I had no clue was a rule till it happened. I believe this is a rule that need to be changed.

Oneida kicked the ball off and GP dropped it and it rolled passed the GP player and into the end zone. The ref blew the whistle and signaled touchback. I thought that if the receiving team touched the ball it became a live ball. I thought it was just like an onside kick but if it goes into end zone it’s a touchback even if receiving team touches it.  Personally I think that needs to be changed.

From my understanding,  the ball is live as soon as it leaves the tee and goes past 10 yards.  The GP player should still have to cover the ball in the the endzone  to keep Oneida from recovering for a touchdown.  In high school, I don't think the ball is live once it goes into the end zone.

That's exactly what I thought! I kept tellin every guy around me that is was a live ball and then they kept sayin since it went into end zone It was a touchback. GP didn't even try to recover it. The ref picked the ball up out of the end zone. I'm like you they still should have had to recover it. Then it would have been a touchback. If Oneida had jumped on it then should been TD

So.....I went to the game.  What......the Jet fired up, so I flew to the mountains.  I can't help it if I tend to mimic The Nature Boy from time to time.  Plus I needed some herbal plants for work back at the JuJu Hut.....you can only get them in a place called the Dagger's Point.  Another story, another time.

GP was big and looked the part in the pre-game.  One of them strapping lads passed me and I swear the earth shook a little.  However, Lambo had his troops tuned in from the moment they left the bus.  GP has a nice little villa in the hills, and if you look around you can easily get caught up with all the nice things.  That isn't a poke the bear comment either, I am sure the kids up there are quite proud of their facilities.  Just saying the place can be quite intimidating....!

Run....pass....we can argue how it was utilized all evening, but the bottom line is the Tribe did what was most effective at that moment.  #5 was running the heck out of it and so was every other RB we tried.  Even idiots realize if it is working don't fool with it.....and I am certain we can throw better this year.  I have already seen bits and pieces of it, we had a dropped TD that was put right where it should have been.  It was a nice test, and I'm sure Coach Lambert will enjoy the weekend then high tail it back to the bunker to get ready for Wartburg.  Good game boys....!

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
